(ABC 6 News) — They’re a duo we’ve been following since they first arrived in Rochester, two explosive detection dogs working for the Rochester Police Department.
Now, K9s Sarge and Riley received bullet and stab protective vests. The effort was organized by BACB Unleashed, a canine bakery in Rochester. It all got started when Pam Miller says she wanted to give back to the community.
“They need to be protected as well because they’re out there protecting us so it was just a good fit to do this,” said BACB Owner Pam Miller.
“It is a good feeling, knowing that the community here in Rochester supports us and is willing to go out and work hard and go the extra mile to make sure the dogs are safe,” said Officer Terry Pretzloff.
