In June of 1999, Pam established the name “Bone Appetit Canine Bakery.” In the fall of 2002, Pam opened Bone Appetit Canine Bakery and Gift Shoppe on the busiest street in Austin, MN. Pam’s loyal companion, Scout was named CEO (Canine Executive Officer) and personally taste tested all treats available at “Bone Appetit”. It is a fact that if Scout did not like a recipe, it didn’t go on the shelf! After 13 years of faithfulness, dedication, loyalty and service as the CEO of Bone Appetit Canine Bakery and special companion to Pam, Scout died from a sudden rupture of a cardiac tumor.
Pam often thought that Bone Appetit Canine Bakery would also die after the loss of Scout, but on April 15, 2012 the decision was made to purchase a Dodge Sprinter Van and to go “mobile”. This date was significant, it was also the 3 month anniversary date of the death of Scout, BACB’s taste-tester, quality control inspector, CEO, and official greeter. It is now in his honor that she is bringing her K9 treats, toys and other fun items to her four-legged customers and their owners. BACB is UNLEASHED!
