Bone Appetit Canine Bakery is ready to be unleashed.
Starting this summer, the gourmet bakery for dogs plans to hit the road with a mobile store that will roll into parks, dog parks and special events.
“The idea is to make our fresh-baked dog treats more accessible than they currently are in Rochester,” owner Pam Miller said.
Plus, after closing the Austin storefront a couple years ago, Miller said she misses seeing the dogs and talking to the owners.
Customers will be able to track the treat truck on Facebook and Twitter, she said. Miller also hopes to bring back the events and parties that she used to do at the store and even host “barkday” parties at people’s homes.
Bone Appetit treats are currently available at Rochester Produce, 2112 Second St. S.W., and in Austin at Austin Veterinary Clinic, 3100 West Oakland Ave., and Double KK Specialty, 803 18th Ave. N.W.
